The energy market has changed markedly in the last fifty years. This growth is totally related to increasing population, environmental considerations, explosive growth in energy using appliances, reduction in coal fired generating stations and the introduction of nuclear energy production facilities, all occurring in conjunction with major changes in the world economy, immigration, population shift and technological advances since the end of the second world war.

In today’s marketplace population growth, urban sprawl, road and office building illumination, the proliferation of home computers, televisions and many other electrically powered convenience items have increased demand for electricity to a point where governments are predicting rolling blackouts and rising energy prices, and there is no clear plan in place to provide a solution to our current situation.

SLI has developed a system designed to deliver light to residential and commercial / industrial structures at a fraction of today’s costs and will be a major influence on energy production requirements for future generations. This new product/method is not affected by short term power failures and will provide all required lighting to each residence for the cost of no more than a 200-350 watt bulb. There is no product on the market today that offers energy efficiency with respect to delivering light, and the product series can be applied to both industrial and commercial uses.

The initial target market for our series of systems will be the commercial and subsequently the residential markets in Canada and then in the United States. SLI plans on expanding the geographical market base to Europe during the fourth and fifth year of its plan. The system series, when combined with solar panels and battery storage power is a perfect fit for third world and developing countries and will also provide lighting for remote locations.

We anticipate accelerated growth as governments and the public at large accept the product as a viable, low cost solution to reducing the demand for electric power for lighting. The product potential is enormous in that it has global applications, particularly for developing countries.

SLI is looking to fund the project through equity investment and/or subordinated loans.
